Seabreeze Aero Club was founded in response to a troubling trend in flight training: rising costs, declining instructional quality, and a growing emphasis on speed over safety. Many students today find themselves trapped in a cycle of rushed programs, inconsistent training, and unnecessary debt — a system that sacrifices depth for the illusion of efficiency.

We strive to provide the highest quality training possible not by cutting corners, but by emphasizing quality, critical thinking, and a true mastery of aviation. We believe in creating Aviators who can dynamically assess, adapt, and understand the laws that govern flight — not Pilots who just memorize procedures and parrot outdated explanations.

Meet The Team

Rob Lasky - CFI/CFII/MEI

Senior Aviator, Aviation Educator, and Safety Expert

Rob Lasky is a highly experienced aviator and retired FAA Designated Pilot Examiner, Aviation Safety Inspector, and 141 Chief Instructor, with a distinguished background in both civilian and military aviation, including service in the United States Navy. With decades of hands-on flight experience, Rob has mastered the principles of aerodynamics and flight safety at the highest level.

Throughout his career, Rob has faced and overcome numerous in-flight emergencies, consistently guiding aircraft and crew to safe outcomes. His deep well of practical knowledge, sound judgment, and instructional expertise places him among the top 1% of pilots in the light aircraft community.

Now a proud member of Seabreeze Aero Club, Rob is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of aviators. His mission is to share the invaluable lessons earned through a lifetime of flying, ensuring that future pilots not only gain technical proficiency but also the mindset and resilience required to fly safely and confidently.

Mark Toutain - CFI/CFII

Passionate Hobbyist Aviator and Founder

Mark Toutain’s passion for aviation runs deep, reflected in the thousands of hours he has spent in the cockpit. Despite never pursuing aviation as a full-time career, Mark has achieved both his Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) and Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFII) ratings — a testament to his dedication and love for flying. His drive to continually advance his skills has always come from within, not from external career goals, making his journey in aviation all the more inspiring.

Mark’s enthusiasm for flying is contagious — it was the spark that lit his son own passion, eventually leading him to pursue aviation professionally.

While Mark is not currently serving as a primary instructor at our club, he remains an active and valued member of our community. You may have the opportunity to work with him on stage checks, checkride preparation, and specialized endorsements. He especially enjoys giving Spin and High-Performance endorsements when the time comes!

Our Aircraft

Get to Know Our Airplane

N20320 is a TAA 1972 C172M with a 180-HP Lycoming O-360 conversion. We have poured lots of love into this Aircraft with top-of-the-line maintenance and over $50,000 in avionics upgrades. Equipped with 2 GI-275 displays, IFD540 WAAS GPS, Mode S Transponder, ADSB-In/Out, Dual Radios, Navigation Receiver, and GFC500 2-Axis Autopilot, N20320 could not be more equipped for IMC flight conditions. N20320 being a Technically Advanced Aircraft (TAA) means you have to look no further for your Commerical Pilot's Certificate and can include to coveted TAA hours in your resume. N20320 has always been babied in a hangar and hence has factory original paint. She may not have the fanciest paint job on the outside but on the inside, she top of the line avionics and engine!

A huge advantage of our avionics set-up is students will learn how to read both analogue gauges as well as electronic tapes, which in most aircraft pilot's will become proficient in reading one but incompetent in the other.
